David Feldman (Feldman Auctions International, Geneva), Middle East Spring 2024 series, Egypt catalogue, lot 2030, under EGYPT / 1866 FIRST ISSUE / ISSUED STAMPS: '5pa to 10pi complete unused set of seven, few minor faults, mixed to fine, a scarce set' (Nile Post D1-D7, the Pellas Brothers Italian-printed foundational set). Price realized 420 CHF against a 300 CHF estimate, sold 14 March 2024. Converted at the sale-date rate 1.1361 USD/CHF (ECB) = USD 477; at the 2026-08-06 rate of 1.2350 it would be USD 519. The 420 CHF is the figure the house publishes as realized; buyer's premium, if additional, is not included. Faults are noted in the lot description, so this is a complete but mixed-condition unused set rather than a premium example.
